Return & Exchange Policy
Return & Exchange Policy — TheWatchCurators.com
This policy is intentionally high-level. Every watch (and every transaction) has its own context, and we reserve the right to assess each case individually.
1) Two Types of Purchases, Two Different Outcomes
A) Watches sourced on behalf of a client (Sourcing / Advisory Requests)
When we source a watch specifically for you, we do so based on your requested specifications and after completing our due diligence. For that reason, all sales are generally final.
The only circumstance in which we would consider accepting a return for a sourced watch is if the watch is officially confirmed to be reported as stolen.
While this scenario is extremely unlikely—because we conduct extensive checks before completing any transaction—if it were to occur, we will work with the client in good faith to assess the situation and determine the appropriate next steps.
Important notes (kept deliberately simple):
-
a return is conditional on objective confirmation (not suspicion or forum claims)
-
we may require supporting documentation and time to validate facts with relevant parties
-
outcomes may differ depending on the situation, jurisdiction, and counterparties involved
B) Watches purchased from our existing inventory (Stock / Immediate Purchase)
If you purchase a watch that is part of our existing inventory, we may accept a return request within 7 working days of you receiving the watch—subject to inspection and approval.
If the return is accepted and the watch is confirmed to be in the same condition as when it was delivered, we may issue a credit note of a similar value that can be used toward another purchase.
To keep expectations clear:
-
returns are not automatic; they are reviewed case-by-case
-
the credit note amount, validity, and eligible uses may vary depending on the watch and circumstances
-
original shipping, customs duties, taxes, insurance, and logistics costs (if any) are typically non-refundable, unless we decide otherwise in a specific case
2) Condition & Inspection (Applies to Any Approved Return)
Any accepted return is conditional upon our inspection confirming, for example, that:
-
the watch has not been opened, modified, or tampered with
-
the watch shows no additional wear, damage, marks, or impact
-
all items originally delivered are included (e.g., box, papers, accessories, links, straps, etc. if applicable)
If the watch is not returned in the same condition, we may decline the return or propose an alternative resolution.
3) How to Request a Return
To request a return or exchange consideration, contact us within the relevant timeframe with:
-
your name and order details
-
the reason for the request
-
photos and any supporting documentation we may need to review the case
We will respond with next steps, including whether the return is approved in principle and what logistics route should be used.
4) Discretion and Case-by-Case Handling
Because of the nature of high-value timepieces, cross-border logistics, and secondary-market realities, we reserve the right to:
-
approve or decline a return at our discretion
-
request additional verification or documentation
-
propose alternative resolutions where appropriate
5) Practical Disclaimer (Plain English)
We aim to be fair, professional, and consistent—but we also won’t pretend every case is identical. This policy is a framework, not a loophole.
